Sight (Un)Seen does not have a specific visual reference—an occurrence that seems to emerge when I work with circles. In retrospect, the composition evokes the image of a moon and a horizon line, though this was not my original intent. However, as both are symbols associated with hope, I embrace their presence in this piece.

Created during a time of personal and collective uncertainty, Sight (Un)Seen was not meant to offer peace or hope so much to others but to serve as an offering to myself. It is reminder that even in moments of darkness, there are always those who are helping others and doing good. The sliding wood panel can be moved from side to side and attempts to conceal the light, yet it inevitably fails. No matter how much darkness encroaches, the light persists. What is unseen is not necessarily absent.
