What might emerge if we give ourselves the freedom to step outside who we’re expected to be and become something more?
This piece was inspired by a musician I saw perform with the Korean punk band Kosfit. Onstage, he struck me as intense and commanding, but getting to know him afterward revealed a gentle side.
In Korean art, the lotus is associated with renewal and transformation. Here, it represents possibility- the parts of ourselves waiting for the courage to blossom.
