Namyeong was the bass player for the Korean punk band God of Universe. For her final performance with them, she organized a show featuring some of her favorite bands called Music Saves People. The poster described it as a concert for people who had been saved by music, performed by musicians who had also been saved by music, with the hope that together they might save everyone in the room.
I was moved by the generosity behind the show. The music was fantastic, but the musicians even better. Music Saves People was a reminder that what we love can also be something we give to others. Be a part of Namyeong’s Universe.
남영은 한국 펑크 밴드 갓 오브 유니버스의 베이시스트였습니다. 갓 오브 유니버스와 함께하는 마지막 공연을 위해, 자신이 좋아하는 몇몇 밴드들이 참여하는 《노래가 사람을 구해요》라는 공연을 기획했습니다. 포스터에는 이 공연이 노래로 구원받은 사람들을 위한 공연이며, 노래에게 구원받은 뮤지션들이 함께 그 자리에 있는 모두를 노래로 구원해 보겠다는 희망이 담겨 있었습니다.
저는 그 공연에 담긴 너그러움에 감동했습니다. 그날 밤 음악은 정말 훌륭했고, 뮤지션들은 그보다 더 멋졌습니다. 《노래가 사람을 구해요》는 우리가 사랑하는 것이 다른 사람에게 줄 수 있는 것이 될 수도 있다는 것을 다시 생각하게 했습니다. 남영의 우주의 일부가 되어 주세요.
