Sight [Un] Seen

acrylic on panel, birch, rice paper, acrylic, LED lights, maple frame, osmo top oil

Sight [Un]Seen was created during a period of personal and collective uncertainty. The glowing circle and horizontal seam in the rice paper evoke a moon on the horizon, an enduring symbol of hope.

The work invites interaction as viewers slide a wooden panel across the circle of light, attempting to conceal it. Yet the light persists, suggesting that even in challenging times, goodness endures, sometimes in unexpected forms.

This piece is a meditation on resilience and quiet strength, a luminous reminder of hope meant to inhabit and transform the spaces it occupies.
