Together is a sculpture inspired by a hike through Buckskin Gulch in southern Utah, where I watched three people walk in solitude, evenly spaced, until they reached a narrow pass. Faced with the challenge of climbing through, they drew closer, offering a hand, engaging in conversation, and transforming a moment of difficulty into one of connection. I am drawn to the spaces that both divide and connect us.
Together explores how vast spaces can make us feel small and singular, yet certain moments pull us together, reminding us that there is strength in numbers and power in connection. Together is an invitation to pause, reflect, and consider how challenges create opportunities to bridge the spaces between us.
